Products
Our ArcAngel™ product suite unlocks and liberates Teradata clients' data, by enabling easy, rapid and cost-effective data propagation/migration from Teradata to any target database environment. ArcAngel™ reads and converts Teradata ARC backup files, adding value to the backups and eliminating the need to access the Teradata server directly.

ArcAngel™ can be used to solve any combination of the following needs:
  • Ability to easily and efficiently populate applications/tools needing Teradata-based data. Examples include vertical analytic apps, data mining, visualization and reporting tools
  • Ability to propagate Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data to other heterogeneous EDWs within the customer?s corporate environment
  • Ability for end users to gain ongoing access to Teradata-based data without the cost, burden and involvement of IT personnel
  • Ability for IT to offer easy data propagation to dependent data marts, database appliances, and/or plain flat files
  • Ability for IT to easily generate subsets of production data, for refresh of databases on Teradata development and test boxes
  • Ability to reload (and optionally re-platform) data on old backups for prior-point-in-time audit/compliance/investigation purposes.

ArcAngel™ can also be used to facilitate Teradata sites that are considering replacement or supplement with an alternative DBMS platform. Here, ArcAngel™ provides:

  • Ability to rapidly move data and schemas to alternate platforms when conducting migration evaluations (Proof of Concepts, or POCs), with minimal labor and schedule
  • Ability to move some or all databases (and/or deep history retention) on a Teradata server to an alternative platform for parallel testing and cutover
  • Ability to offload specific heavy Teradata query workloads to alternative platforms, freeing up cycles on the Teradata server.

All of these can be achieved with little or no impact on the production EDW operation and performance, along with a large reduction in the IT labor time and costs that would otherwise be required!
